From replenishment to picking
Blue Robot ASRS is an open Automated Storage and Retreival System. Goods are stored in a cube of standardized high-quality Eurotech bins that are suitable for long-term use in automation systems. The bins can easily be handled on the outside of the cube by human hands or other automation systems. This allows for an efficient replenishment process as well as endless possibilities for integrating the system into larger instalations.
Automation in real life
Efficient logistics
1
Easy and efficient replenishment
Blue Robot ASRS is designed to make product replenishment as flexible, simple and efficient as possible. The process starts with empty bins being retrieved from the system, which are then transported on a pallet to the area where the goods are received. Each bin is a defined location in the warehouse and the goods receipt is registered against the bins unique identification in the warehouse management system (WMS).
2
Fast loading of bins
When the bins are filled with goods, they can easily be loaded into the cube via the picking stations or an AutoPort. This is typically carried out during quiet periods. Quick and easy. Loading of bins can either be done manually by a person or automatically via conveyor belts, autonomous mobile robots (AMR), humanoids or other systems on the outside of the cube.
3
Accurate goods picking
The picking process uses scanning to ensure accuracy at all stages of the process. The user interface is extremely simple and enables any employee to quickly become an efficient picker. Blue Robot ASRS supports several different picking processes depending on whether you want full automation or manual control.
4
Packing
In the vast majority of cases, there is a need to store goods both inside and outside the Blue Robot cube. The packing of the goods can therefore take place at the picking station for orders that can be picked in their entirety from the cube or in a defined area where all goods for an order are consolidated after the end of the picking round. A picking round can then typically consist of picking from the cube followed by picking from a VLM, "pick to light" racks, standard shelfs or pallet picking.
5
Cube optimisation
To increase efficiency, Blue Robot ASRS's artificial intelligence will use quiet periods during the day and night to optimize the locations of all bins that are or may become relevant for future picking. This makes picking significantly more efficient. The system's unique algorithms for, among other things, the best possible bin location is part of what makes Blue Robot ASRS a unique option for anyone who wants to further develop and modernize their business.
